Located in Rochester, Michigan, Oakland University’s Musical Theatre program combines conservatory-style performance training with the resources of a public university. Students receive comprehensive instruction in acting, voice, and dance while participating in multiple productions throughout the academic year. The program is known for its collaboration with Meadowbrook Theatre, an in house professional regional theatre that resides on Oakland’s campus. Oakland’s SMTD also features a new MT Dance Minor, small class sizes, individualized faculty mentorship, and close proximity to Detroit’s vibrant performing arts community.
